THERAPIE OPTION: KATATHYM IMAGINATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY (KIP) or GUIDED AFFECTIVE IMAGERY THERAPY
KIP works psycho-dynamically and uses in addition to the depth-psychologically based conversation guided affective imagery according to KIP - in dialogue with individually adapted, but also standardized motif specification such as: meadow, flower, house, etc.
Special features and procedure of KIP:
The conversation and the relationship are the main component of KIP therapy.
The symbolism of the imagination according to KIP makes it possible, within a protected framework, to identify untapped resources and abilities in order to change, improve or clarify the situation.
Guided affective imagery has a mediating, supportive character and helps to discreetly discuss topics, to better understand and process conflicts, affects or situations of shame.
It becomes easier to understand what previously seemed inexplicable or incomprehensible. As an "image language of the unconscious," guided affective imagery according to KIP can help to ameliorate or heal traumas and conflicts.
KIP is suitable for all age groups, for all psychological stress in the professional as well as in the private sector, but also in the clinical area for psychiatric illnesses.
Due to the high significance of the symbols in the imaginations in Scandinavia and the Netherlands, it is called the "Symbol Drama", in the Anglo-Saxon area "Guided Affective Imagery".
